Kid Rock Announces the First Leg of the “BORN FREE” Tour on Heels of New Album Release

Tour Includes Biggest Headlining Show of Kid Rock’s Career — Ford Field in Detroit — to Celebrate His 40th Birthday; Country Outlaw Jamey Johnson to Open Tour

DETROIT, MI–(Marketwire) – Kid Rock announces today the first 3 months of his “BORN FREE” tour that comes in support of his new album that hit stores today. The kickoff of the tour comes in the form of a 40th birthday party Kid Rock is throwing for himself with 60,000 of his closest friends, at Detroit’s Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions football team. The stadium will be renamed “40 Field” in honor of the occasion. The special show will include surprise guests and plenty of surprises. Tickets for the Detroit celebration went on sale November 26th, tickets for the tour will go on sale December 3rd and 4th. (Click here for tickets)

As usual Kid Rock will be backed by his own excellent Twisted Brown Trucker Band. Following the Detroit celebration the tour wraps around the country, hitting arenas throughout the country with this first leg of the tour ending March 12th in Memphis, TN. This is just the beginning of a busy touring year for Kid Rock, who plans to add more dates later in the year. The headlining tour will also feature very special guest Jamey Johnson, whose new album “The Guitar Song” has been drawing rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

This tour comes in support of Kid Rock’s just released album “Born Free” which is being released amongst a flurry of promotion. After shaking up the European Music Awards in Madrid last week and the CMA Awards on November 10th, Kid Rock will appear on the live broadcast of the American Music Awards on Sunday, November 21st. A documentary titled “Kid Rock: Born Free” will start airing across MTV, Vh1, and CMT on November 16th, adding to the huge visibility leading up to the release provided by TNT and ESPN sports campaigns featuring the album’s first single, “Born Free.” The companion video to the song is already receiving accolades across the channels after debuting last week. The album, which will not be available via iTunes, will be available at all major retailers including Target, Wal-Mart, Meijer, Amazon, and FYE and also at, for the first time ever, non-traditional retailers Little Caesars, Radio Shack, and Boot Barn.

Kid Rock’s last album “Rock ‘N Roll Jesus,” released in 2007, debuted at #1 and stayed in the charts for 100 weeks, becoming the biggest selling Rock album of 2008. His hit single “All Summer Long” hit #1 in 8 countries and provided Kid Rock the opportunity to expand his huge touring base outside of America. Kid Rock has a unique ability to genre-hop, marking his territory everywhere. He hosted last year’s CMT Awards (whose ratings rose 19% over the previous year) and performed at events ranging from the Grammy’s to the VMAs, EMAs and CMAs to the Hip Hop Honors. He has performed for and visited troops overseas numerous times, and remains one of entertainments most vocal supporters of our soldiers abroad. In the past year he has entered into a unique partnership with Jim Beam, while at the same time expanding his philanthropic efforts through his own Kid Rock Foundation.

KID ROCK’S “BORN FREE TOUR” 2011 (Click here for tickets)

ALBUM FEATURES RECORD BREAKING GLOBAL HIT “WAKA WAKA (THIS TIME FOR AFRICA)”

SECOND SINGLE “LOCA” CLIMBING CHARTS

NEW YORK, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ — On the heels of the momentous success of “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa),” a sold out tour, and her newly released single “Loca,” Shakira releases her 9th album, Sale El Sol / The Sun Comes Out, through Epic Records today, October 19th.

Sale El Sol marks a return to the eclectic approach that defined Shakira’s music and established her unique sound and style. The album, which Entertainment Weekly calls an “eclectic, adventurous mix,” has three distinct, yet interwoven styles of sound that explore Shakira’s roots from a new perspective. There’s the romantic direction as found on songs such as “Antes de las Seis” and “Lo Que Mas”, reminiscent of the intensity of some of Shakira’s earlier ballads; a rock and roll vibe on “Devocion” and title track “Sale el Sol” which has Shakira revisiting her artistic roots; and a Latin, tropical flare blending sounds such as Merengue and Reggaeton on “Loca”, “Rabiosa” and “Addicted to You”.

Shakira’s new bilingual LP is “full of idiosyncratic crossovers and hybrids, often tied to very specific places,” as described by the New York Times. On the new album, Shakira found herself “going back to basics.” “I’m very excited about the new album, because it reminds me of different eras and stages of my career,” she said. “It’s been quite interesting making it as well, I’ve been reconnecting with myself and with my sensibility. It’s very introspective, but also very joyful.”

Though the album stems from from Shakira’s retrospective center, she also calls on the inspiration of other artists, bringing in Puerto Rican sensation, Residente, from Calle 13 on “Gordita” for a hip hop twist, and cover’s The XX’s “Islands.” The album also includes the hit single “Loca” featuring Dominican artist El Cata and UK phenomenon Dizzee Rascal (on the Spanish and English versions respectively). Both the “Loca” video and album have already reached #1 on Latin iTunes.

The disc also features Shakira’s worldwide smash “Waka Waka,” the theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which turned into a global phenomenon, reaching Number One in sixteen countries. It sold over two million singles, making it the biggest World Cup song ever released. The official video has seen over 200 million YouTube hits, making it the Number Four most watched video of all time and the Number Three most watched music video. The track was also the soundtrack to Shakira’s 1Goal campaign for universal education.

Sale el Sol is the next chapter after 2009′s critically-acclaimed, dance-oriented She Wolf, which was the long-awaited follow-up to 2005′s groundbreaking one-two punch comprised of Fijacion Oral, Volume 1 and Oral Fixation, Volume 2—a pair of albums which combined to sell over 12 million copies worldwide and secured the young Colombian-born singer’s place among pop music royalty.

Over the course of her career, Grammy winner Shakira has sold nearly fifty million albums. She has four of the twenty top-selling hits of the decade, more than any other artist—including 2006′s unforgettable “Hips Don’t Lie,” the biggest-selling single of the 21st Century, which reached the Number One spot in an astonishing 55 countries.

In addition, the band will headline the annual Rock ‘N Rev Festival in Sturgis, South Dakota on Wednesday, August 11th and 89.7 The River’s “River Riot 2010″ at Council Bluffs, Iowa’s Westfair Amphitheater on Saturday, August 14th.

“STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” — the Grammy Award-winning band’s first all-new collection in close to a decade — made an explosive Billboard 200 chart debut upon its May release, confirming the band’s status as the #1 rock ‘n’ roll band in the country. Produced by Stone Temple Pilots and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, My Chemical Romance), the album sees STP continuing to explore their enduring approach to music — melding big riffs, classic pop hooks, and the restless experimentalism of glam, punk, and psychedelia.

What’s more, “STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” has drawn copious critical acclamation, with Spin hailing the collection as “a heavy basher with big, snarling yet melodic choruses with a shot of nostalgia.” USA Today praised “the band’s signature mix of bluesy psychedelic guitar rock and Scott Weiland’s glam grunge wail,” while Rolling Stone commended the “twisty Led Zep-style guitar riffs from Dean DeLeo, throaty choruses and cool, unexpected flashes of Beatles psychedelia.”

The band’s new single, “Take A Load Off,” is set to impact at multi-format rock radio outlets everywhere later this month. A companion video is currently in production.

Having heralded “STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” with a rare club appearance at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre, the band spent their early summer making headline performances at a number of major US radio festivals. Stone Temple Pilots also made high-profile TV appearances on CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and are set to perform on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 29th.

“STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” follows Stone Temple Pilots’ previous Atlantic releases: their RIAA 8x-platinum debut, “CORE” (1992), the 6x-platinum “PURPLE”(1994), the double-platinum “TINY MUSIC… SONGS FROM THE VATICAN GIFT SHOP” (1996), the platinum-certified “No. 4″ (1999), the gold-certified “SHANGRI-LA DEE DA” (2001), and the greatest hits CD/DVD anthology, “THANK YOU” (2003).

A dominant force in rock music since the early ’90s, Stone Temple Pilots proved one of the most accomplished and iconic bands of their generation, racking up 15 Billboard Top 10 singles — 6 of which hit #1 — and total sales in excess of 35 million albums worldwide. The California-based band went on hiatus in 2002, following the release of the critically acclaimed “SHANGRI-LA DEE DA,” ultimately reuniting for a massive 2008 concert tour encompassing more than 65 dates across North America.

Among their many accolades, Stone Temple Pilots received a “Best Hard Rock Performance with Vocal” Grammy Award for their #1 Mainstream Rock smash, “Plush.” Other honors bestowed upon the band over the years include additional Grammy award nominations, two American Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award, two Billboard Video Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award.

NEW YORK, New York –(Marketwire) – Jason Mraz has announced details of his upcoming North American tour. The Atlantic recording artist kicks off on September 11th at Bangor, Maine’s Bangor Waterfront and then continues through early October (see itinerary below).

In tandem with his own tour, Mraz will also be making a series of additional appearances, including a September 12th headline performance at the Life is Good Festival 2010 in Canton, Massachusetts. The Grammy Award-winning tunesmith will also join his longtime pals Dave Matthews Band for a pair of shows at Chicago’s world famous Wrigley Stadium on September 17th and 18th.

Having spent much of the past few months in the studio working on his next studio album, Mraz scheduled the upcoming itinerary as a way of getting fans’ response to some of his new material. Moreover, the San Diego-based troubadour wanted to take the opportunity to visit a number of markets missed by his previous North American tour: “Even though we performed 250 shows all around the world in 2008 and 2009, I still got emails and Facebook messages from fans whose hometowns we missed,” said Mraz. “When I found out I had some time off, I called up the band and said, ‘Let’s get to some of these places.’” Support for most dates on the trek will come from acclaimed singer/songwriter — and fellow Atlantic recording artist — Robert Francis. Also Christina Perri, whose song “Jar of Hearts” has created a national stir, will appear on a few select dates.

Throughout his career, Mraz has received praise as a consummate live performer. From his earliest days in the coffee shops of San Diego to his recent sold-out performance at the Hollywood Bowl, Mraz’s live show has always been a testament of his true musical chops. Earlier this year, Mraz took home Grammy Awards for both “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance” (for “Make It Mine”) and “Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals,” honoring his alliance with Colbie Caillat, “Lucky.” Both tracks are featured on 2008′s RIAA platinum-certified “WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.”

The album’s first single, “I’m Yours,” proved a momentous #1 smash, earning ASCAP’s 2010 “Song of the Year” award at their Pop Music Awards while also setting the record for the longest-running song in the 52-year history of Billboard’s “Hot 100.” The first song ever to top the charts at four different pop radio formats, “I’m Yours” is the sixth best-selling digital track of all time, with sales of more than 5 million downloads.

Fueled by the success of “I’m Yours,” “Lucky,” and “Make It Mine,” “WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.” became a genuine worldwide sensation. In addition to the album’s platinum certification in the US, the album has received multiple platinum certifications in Korea (6x), France (5x), and Indonesia (3x); double platinum certifications in Australia and Canada; and platinum certification in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

In addition to the aforementioned Grammys, Mraz has been feted with an array of other honors, including the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s esteemed “Hal David Starlight Award,” presented to gifted songwriters who are making a significant impact in the music industry via their original songs. A committed activist as well as an artist, Mraz was honored last year by the Environmental Media Association for his impassioned efforts.

Mraz’s most recent release is “JASON MRAZ’S BEAUTIFUL MESS – LIVE ON EARTH,” a two-disc CD/DVD set capturing him at his onstage best, performing a wide array of his greatest hits. Filmed and recorded in August 2009 as Jason’s blockbuster “Gratitude Café Tour” hit Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion, the collection includes a DVD — directed by Darren Doane (“I’m Yours,” “Lucky,” as well as videos from such diverse artists as Van Morrison and Shinedown) — featuring the full-length concert, never-before-seen backstage footage, and the exclusive new mockumentary, “Un Beau Désordre.”

BURBANK, California –(Marketwire) – After wrapping up a sold-out stadium tour of Europe, multi-platinum rock band Green Day will hit the road next week for a series of North American tour dates, including an August 7th stopover at this year’s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. This is the second leg of the band’s U.S. tour in support of their Grammy Award winning album 21st Century Breakdown. Please see below for all tour dates.

Critics raved about the first leg of the 21st Century Breakdown tour, which launched in North America in July of 2009, before continuing on to Europe in the fall. “As if releasing a wave of energy that had been building up during their four-year hiatus from touring, Green Day poured all their heart and soul into a powerhouse two-hour set,” said Rolling Stone, while Spin noted that “the band’s relationship with its audience is disarmingly real, a cross-generational give-and-take that’s as punk as any Gilman Street scroungers today.”

Released by Reprise Records on May 15th, 2009, 21st Century Breakdown debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts. The album has spawned two hit singles, “Know Your Enemy,” which has been certified gold, and the platinum-selling “21 Guns,” whose video won three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, including “Best Rock Video.” The band took home their second American Music Award for “Favorite Alternative Music Artist” in November. Green Day Rock Band has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Best Video Game.

Aerosmith, America’s Number One rock and roll band, has just finished a run of phenomenally successful dates in Europe and South America but all agree that playing for their American fans is the ultimate. Clearly the Aerosmith army couldn’t agree more. The band is scheduled to play their hometown along with the J. Geils Band at a sold out Fenway Park show on August 14th.

“After last summer, we’ve been looking forward to getting back out there with a vengeance. I can’t wait to feel the roar of the American audiences again and give this summer what it needs – a double dose of Aerosmith!” commented Steven Tyler.

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry had a motorcycle mishap last week but stated, “Just like the name of the tour, I am ‘Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock.’ It was a close call. My bike is smashed but I am ok from head to toe. I want to thank all of the fans for their emails and support.”

“After all the trials and tribulations we’ve come out into one of the most fun tours in recent memory. We had an amazing time in South America and Europe and now we’re ready to bring it home,” said Tom Hamilton.

Aerosmith will be celebrating their 40th anniversary as America’s most enduring and thrilling bands in rock history…and have sold over 150 million records. They are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, recipients of countless awards including four Grammys, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards and twelve MTV Video Music Awards.

Sammy Hagar and the Wabos will open many of the announced shows.

LOS ANGELES, California /PRNewswire/ — Planning to see rock icons KISS this summer during their 2010 North American tour, The Hottest Show on Earth? Plan on buying tickets in advance. Last weekend, the legendary rockers started their 32-city tour with record-breaking crowds in Cheyenne, WY, and Minot (Bismarck area), ND. KISS is also the first rock act to completely sellout the grandstands in Minot (more than 15,000 people), they broke Taylor Swift’s 2009 gross merchandise sales record in both cities and KISS gave back by donating more than $30,000 from their ticket sales to Wounded Warrior Care Project, a non-profit veterans organization.

“We know that times are tough for The KISS Army of fans and that’s why we’re giving back,” said KISS bassist and co-founder Gene Simmons. “We’re committed to giving our fans the biggest, baddest, most over-the-top show for their hard-earned money.”

“While we give our fans the greatest show ever, we also want to help guarantee that our country’s brave men and women who return from fighting overseas receive the medical care that they have sacrificed for and is owed to them. While our government is tied up in bureaucracy, the KISS Army has taken up the cause. We’re donating $1 from every ticket sold, to the Wounded Warrior Care Project,” added KISS rhythm guitarist and co-founder Paul Stanley.

Throughout their 37-year career, KISS has sold 80 million albums, played for millions of people and become an integral part of American culture. KISS will perform such classics as “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock and Roll All Nite” as well as hits that they haven’t played in the US in years.

The Hottest Show on Earth tour, produced by Live Nation, will trek through a mix of arenas and amphitheaters throughout North America.

There is no other band in the vast history of rock music that has mesmerized generations of music fans in the same way as this revolutionary and iconic quartet that continues to acquire generations of new fans year after year.

CHICAGO /PRNewswire/ — Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) announced that tickets for all U.S. shows featuring five-time Grammy Award winner Marc Anthony and his highly anticipated 2010 U.S. Tour will go on sale Friday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. Anthony will kick off his stateside tour at the Madison Square Garden in his native New York on September 10.

In addition to producing his U.S. tour, CMN is also producing Anthony’s Latin American tour, which kicks off today in Quito, Ecuador’s Estadio Atahualpa. That tour will take the pop star to cities throughout Peru and Colombia as well.

Released in May 2010, Anthony’s latest recording, “Iconos,” (“Icons”) marks the singer’s first studio production since 2004. The all ballad Spanish album produced by Anthony and Julio Reyes, peaked for seven weeks at # 1 in Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and includes eight titles of the singer’s favorite balladeers and two original songs — both written by Reyes and Anthony. These songs turned into classics by legendary artists such as Juan Gabriel, Jose Luis Perales, Jose Jose and Roberto Carlos are born again, now in Anthony’s unique, emotive style.

Marc Anthony has been awarded countless Standard gold and platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The list of Grammy accolades began with a 1998 Grammy for Best Latin/Tropical Performance for “Contra La Corriente,” followed with a 1999 Grammy for Song of the Year for “Dimelo” (“I Need to Know”). Driven in part by the crossover success of that smash single, “Marc Anthony,” his English language debut album, helped usher in 1999′s Latin pop explosion, and went on to achieve triple platinum status in the U.S. In 2005, Marc Anthony went home double fisted with a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album of the Year (“Amar Sin Mentiras”) and another Grammy for Best Tropical Album of the Year (“Valio la Pena”).

Anthony has also established a highly credible acting resume and may be seen in Martin Scorsese’s “Bringing Out the Dead” (1999); opposite Salma Hayek in the Showtime original film, “In the Time of the Butterflies” (2001); and appears with Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken in director Tony Scott’s “Man On Fire” (2004). He also appeared in the 1997 Paul Simon musical, “The Capeman.” He starred as the Puerto Rican salsa pioneer Hector Lavoe, with Jennifer Lopez, in the biopic, “El Cantante.” The Miami Dolphins minority owner was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington D.C. in September 2009.

NEW YORK, /PRNewswire/ — Epic Records recording artist, Sara Bareilles is pleased to announce upcoming dates for her 2010 Fall Headlining Tour in support of her highly anticipated upcoming sophomore release, Kaleidoscope Heart out September 7th. Sara will officially return to the road as the headlining act on September 25 when the tour kicks off in Portland, OR at Roseland Ballroom. The tour will cover 30 major cities across America and conclude at the Knitting Factory Concert House on November 24th in Reno, NV. Supporting acts on the bill are Greg Laswell, Javier Dunn, Cary Brothers, & Holly Conlan.

Kaleidoscope Heart – which Sara wrote and the renowned Neal Avron produced – is the follow up to her massive Grammy nominated debut, Little Voice which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide and garnered the singer/songwriter two Grammy nominations for the triple platinum hit single, “Love Song.

“”King Of Anything” the first single from the forthcoming album is currently at radio and garnering early critical acclaim from the press. Rolling Stone recently awarded the track a three star review stating “Like her 2007 hit “Love Song,” this single shows off Bareilles’ ability to tuck a heart-felt kiss off into a perky piano-pop tune.” The immensely addictive and charismatic pop driven track featuring Sara’s extraordinary vocal prowess is already Top 10 at Triple A Radio, and holding at # 11 on the Hot AC radio airplay chart. Meanwhile, VH1 who handpicked Sara as their “Posted” artist for the month of July, recently catapulted the video into large rotation where it’s currently the # 4 most played video on the channel.

Sara is currently back out on the road for a string of Lilith Fair tour dates as she gears up for the September 7th release of Kaleidoscope Heart. Come September 25th Sara will begin her 2010 Fall Headlining Tour.
