NEW YORK, New York–(Marketwire ) – Atlantic recording group Stone Temple Pilots are teaming up with JVC to offer “The Perfect VIP Experience” sweepstakes to one winner and a guest at each date on their upcoming North American tour. The eagerly anticipated tour begins August 10th at Denver’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre and then continues through early September, with more dates to follow (see below itinerary).

“The Perfect VIP Experience” sweepstakes offers fans across the country the chance to win an extraordinary grand prize for each stop on the Stone Temple Pilots tour. Winners will receive two VIP concert tickets — located somewhere in the first 10 rows — as well as a JVC Everio or Picsio video camera and a meet-and-greet photo opportunity with one of the band members after the show. Prizewinners will be encouraged to use their new JVC video camera to take still pictures and videos at the show that may then be featured on Stone Temple Pilots’ own Facebook page, www.facebook.com/pages/Stone-Temple-Pilots/134914122905. Launched July 19th, “The Perfect VIP Experience” contest can be entered on the official JVC U.S.A. Facebook page, located at www.jvc.com/winstptix.

To get fans even more excited, JVC and Stone Temple Pilots recently posted a very special live video of the raucous hit single, “Between The Lines,” featured on the band’s blockbuster new album, “STONE TEMPLE PILOTS.” The clip, filmed live at their recent club appearance at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre, can be viewed at www.jvc.com/betweenthelines/.

Meanwhile, VIP ticket packages for the upcoming tour remain available for purchase via www.stonetemplepilots.com, including a “Stone Temple Pilots Exclusive Photo Pass Package,” a “Stone Temple Pilots Backstage Experience Package,” and a “Stone Temple Pilots Premium Ticket Package.” For complete details — as well as ticket availability info for all shows — please visit www.ticketmaster.com/Stone-Temple-Pilots-tickets/artist/752624.

Stone Temple Pilots — Scott Weiland, Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo, and Eric Kretz — will be bookending the impending trek with headline appearances at a pair of North American festies: Canada’s annual Rock On The Range on Saturday, August 7th at Winnipeg’s Canad Inns Stadium; and the Arizona Fall Frenzy ’10, slated for Friday, September 17th at Phoenix’ Tempe Beach Park. In addition, the band will headline the annual Rock ‘N Rev Festival in Sturgis, South Dakota on Wednesday, August 11th and 89.7 The River’s “River Riot 2010″ at Council Bluffs, Iowa’s Westfair Amphitheater on Saturday, August 14th.

“STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” — the Grammy Award-winning band’s first all-new collection in close to a decade — made an explosive Billboard 200 chart debut upon its May release, confirming the band’s status as the #1 rock ‘n’ roll band in the country. Produced by Stone Temple Pilots and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, My Chemical Romance), the album sees STP continuing to explore their enduring approach to music — melding big riffs, classic pop hooks, and the restless experimentalism of glam, punk, and psychedelia.

What’s more, “STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” has drawn copious critical acclamation, with Spin hailing the collection as “a heavy basher with big, snarling yet melodic choruses with a shot of nostalgia.” USA Today praised “the band’s signature mix of bluesy psychedelic guitar rock and Scott Weiland’s glam grunge wail,” while Rolling Stone commended the “twisty Led Zep-style guitar riffs from Dean DeLeo, throaty choruses and cool, unexpected flashes of Beatles psychedelia.”

The band’s new single, “Take A Load Off,” is set to impact at multi-format rock radio outlets everywhere later this month. A companion video is currently in production.

Having heralded “STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” with a rare club appearance at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre, the band spent their early summer making headline performances at a number of major US radio festivals. Stone Temple Pilots also made high-profile TV appearances on CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and are set to perform on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 29th.

“STONE TEMPLE PILOTS” follows Stone Temple Pilots’ previous Atlantic releases: their RIAA 8x-platinum debut, “CORE” (1992), the 6x-platinum “PURPLE”(1994), the double-platinum “TINY MUSIC… SONGS FROM THE VATICAN GIFT SHOP” (1996), the platinum-certified “No. 4″ (1999), the gold-certified “SHANGRI-LA DEE DA” (2001), and the greatest hits CD/DVD anthology, “THANK YOU” (2003).

A dominant force in rock music since the early ’90s, Stone Temple Pilots proved one of the most accomplished and iconic bands of their generation, racking up 15 Billboard Top 10 singles — 6 of which hit #1 — and total sales in excess of 35 million albums worldwide. The California-based band went on hiatus in 2002, following the release of the critically acclaimed “SHANGRI-LA DEE DA,” ultimately reuniting for a massive 2008 concert tour encompassing more than 65 dates across North America.

Among their many accolades, Stone Temple Pilots received a “Best Hard Rock Performance with Vocal” Grammy Award for their #1 Mainstream Rock smash, “Plush.” Other honors bestowed upon the band over the years include additional Grammy award nominations, two American Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award, two Billboard Video Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award.

NEW YORK, New York –(Marketwire) – Jason Mraz has announced details of his upcoming North American tour. The Atlantic recording artist kicks off on September 11th at Bangor, Maine’s Bangor Waterfront and then continues through early October (see itinerary below).

In tandem with his own tour, Mraz will also be making a series of additional appearances, including a September 12th headline performance at the Life is Good Festival 2010 in Canton, Massachusetts. The Grammy Award-winning tunesmith will also join his longtime pals Dave Matthews Band for a pair of shows at Chicago’s world famous Wrigley Stadium on September 17th and 18th.

Having spent much of the past few months in the studio working on his next studio album, Mraz scheduled the upcoming itinerary as a way of getting fans’ response to some of his new material. Moreover, the San Diego-based troubadour wanted to take the opportunity to visit a number of markets missed by his previous North American tour: “Even though we performed 250 shows all around the world in 2008 and 2009, I still got emails and Facebook messages from fans whose hometowns we missed,” said Mraz. “When I found out I had some time off, I called up the band and said, ‘Let’s get to some of these places.’” Support for most dates on the trek will come from acclaimed singer/songwriter — and fellow Atlantic recording artist — Robert Francis. Also Christina Perri, whose song “Jar of Hearts” has created a national stir, will appear on a few select dates.

Throughout his career, Mraz has received praise as a consummate live performer. From his earliest days in the coffee shops of San Diego to his recent sold-out performance at the Hollywood Bowl, Mraz’s live show has always been a testament of his true musical chops. Earlier this year, Mraz took home Grammy Awards for both “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance” (for “Make It Mine”) and “Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals,” honoring his alliance with Colbie Caillat, “Lucky.” Both tracks are featured on 2008′s RIAA platinum-certified “WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.”

The album’s first single, “I’m Yours,” proved a momentous #1 smash, earning ASCAP’s 2010 “Song of the Year” award at their Pop Music Awards while also setting the record for the longest-running song in the 52-year history of Billboard’s “Hot 100.” The first song ever to top the charts at four different pop radio formats, “I’m Yours” is the sixth best-selling digital track of all time, with sales of more than 5 million downloads.

Fueled by the success of “I’m Yours,” “Lucky,” and “Make It Mine,” “WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.” became a genuine worldwide sensation. In addition to the album’s platinum certification in the US, the album has received multiple platinum certifications in Korea (6x), France (5x), and Indonesia (3x); double platinum certifications in Australia and Canada; and platinum certification in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

In addition to the aforementioned Grammys, Mraz has been feted with an array of other honors, including the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s esteemed “Hal David Starlight Award,” presented to gifted songwriters who are making a significant impact in the music industry via their original songs. A committed activist as well as an artist, Mraz was honored last year by the Environmental Media Association for his impassioned efforts.

Mraz’s most recent release is “JASON MRAZ’S BEAUTIFUL MESS – LIVE ON EARTH,” a two-disc CD/DVD set capturing him at his onstage best, performing a wide array of his greatest hits. Filmed and recorded in August 2009 as Jason’s blockbuster “Gratitude Café Tour” hit Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion, the collection includes a DVD — directed by Darren Doane (“I’m Yours,” “Lucky,” as well as videos from such diverse artists as Van Morrison and Shinedown) — featuring the full-length concert, never-before-seen backstage footage, and the exclusive new mockumentary, “Un Beau Désordre.”

BURBANK, California –(Marketwire) – After wrapping up a sold-out stadium tour of Europe, multi-platinum rock band Green Day will hit the road next week for a series of North American tour dates, including an August 7th stopover at this year’s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. This is the second leg of the band’s U.S. tour in support of their Grammy Award winning album 21st Century Breakdown. Please see below for all tour dates.

Critics raved about the first leg of the 21st Century Breakdown tour, which launched in North America in July of 2009, before continuing on to Europe in the fall. “As if releasing a wave of energy that had been building up during their four-year hiatus from touring, Green Day poured all their heart and soul into a powerhouse two-hour set,” said Rolling Stone, while Spin noted that “the band’s relationship with its audience is disarmingly real, a cross-generational give-and-take that’s as punk as any Gilman Street scroungers today.”

Released by Reprise Records on May 15th, 2009, 21st Century Breakdown debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts. The album has spawned two hit singles, “Know Your Enemy,” which has been certified gold, and the platinum-selling “21 Guns,” whose video won three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, including “Best Rock Video.” The band took home their second American Music Award for “Favorite Alternative Music Artist” in November. Green Day Rock Band has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Best Video Game.

Aerosmith, America’s Number One rock and roll band, has just finished a run of phenomenally successful dates in Europe and South America but all agree that playing for their American fans is the ultimate. Clearly the Aerosmith army couldn’t agree more. The band is scheduled to play their hometown along with the J. Geils Band at a sold out Fenway Park show on August 14th.

“After last summer, we’ve been looking forward to getting back out there with a vengeance. I can’t wait to feel the roar of the American audiences again and give this summer what it needs – a double dose of Aerosmith!” commented Steven Tyler.

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry had a motorcycle mishap last week but stated, “Just like the name of the tour, I am ‘Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock.’ It was a close call. My bike is smashed but I am ok from head to toe. I want to thank all of the fans for their emails and support.”

“After all the trials and tribulations we’ve come out into one of the most fun tours in recent memory. We had an amazing time in South America and Europe and now we’re ready to bring it home,” said Tom Hamilton.

Aerosmith will be celebrating their 40th anniversary as America’s most enduring and thrilling bands in rock history…and have sold over 150 million records. They are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, recipients of countless awards including four Grammys, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards and twelve MTV Video Music Awards.

Sammy Hagar and the Wabos will open many of the announced shows.

LOS ANGELES, California /PRNewswire/ — Planning to see rock icons KISS this summer during their 2010 North American tour, The Hottest Show on Earth? Plan on buying tickets in advance. Last weekend, the legendary rockers started their 32-city tour with record-breaking crowds in Cheyenne, WY, and Minot (Bismarck area), ND. KISS is also the first rock act to completely sellout the grandstands in Minot (more than 15,000 people), they broke Taylor Swift’s 2009 gross merchandise sales record in both cities and KISS gave back by donating more than $30,000 from their ticket sales to Wounded Warrior Care Project, a non-profit veterans organization.

“We know that times are tough for The KISS Army of fans and that’s why we’re giving back,” said KISS bassist and co-founder Gene Simmons. “We’re committed to giving our fans the biggest, baddest, most over-the-top show for their hard-earned money.”

“While we give our fans the greatest show ever, we also want to help guarantee that our country’s brave men and women who return from fighting overseas receive the medical care that they have sacrificed for and is owed to them. While our government is tied up in bureaucracy, the KISS Army has taken up the cause. We’re donating $1 from every ticket sold, to the Wounded Warrior Care Project,” added KISS rhythm guitarist and co-founder Paul Stanley.

Throughout their 37-year career, KISS has sold 80 million albums, played for millions of people and become an integral part of American culture. KISS will perform such classics as “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock and Roll All Nite” as well as hits that they haven’t played in the US in years.

The Hottest Show on Earth tour, produced by Live Nation, will trek through a mix of arenas and amphitheaters throughout North America.

There is no other band in the vast history of rock music that has mesmerized generations of music fans in the same way as this revolutionary and iconic quartet that continues to acquire generations of new fans year after year.

CHICAGO /PRNewswire/ — Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) announced that tickets for all U.S. shows featuring five-time Grammy Award winner Marc Anthony and his highly anticipated 2010 U.S. Tour will go on sale Friday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. Anthony will kick off his stateside tour at the Madison Square Garden in his native New York on September 10.

In addition to producing his U.S. tour, CMN is also producing Anthony’s Latin American tour, which kicks off today in Quito, Ecuador’s Estadio Atahualpa. That tour will take the pop star to cities throughout Peru and Colombia as well.

Released in May 2010, Anthony’s latest recording, “Iconos,” (“Icons”) marks the singer’s first studio production since 2004. The all ballad Spanish album produced by Anthony and Julio Reyes, peaked for seven weeks at # 1 in Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and includes eight titles of the singer’s favorite balladeers and two original songs — both written by Reyes and Anthony. These songs turned into classics by legendary artists such as Juan Gabriel, Jose Luis Perales, Jose Jose and Roberto Carlos are born again, now in Anthony’s unique, emotive style.

Marc Anthony has been awarded countless Standard gold and platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The list of Grammy accolades began with a 1998 Grammy for Best Latin/Tropical Performance for “Contra La Corriente,” followed with a 1999 Grammy for Song of the Year for “Dimelo” (“I Need to Know”). Driven in part by the crossover success of that smash single, “Marc Anthony,” his English language debut album, helped usher in 1999′s Latin pop explosion, and went on to achieve triple platinum status in the U.S. In 2005, Marc Anthony went home double fisted with a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album of the Year (“Amar Sin Mentiras”) and another Grammy for Best Tropical Album of the Year (“Valio la Pena”).

Anthony has also established a highly credible acting resume and may be seen in Martin Scorsese’s “Bringing Out the Dead” (1999); opposite Salma Hayek in the Showtime original film, “In the Time of the Butterflies” (2001); and appears with Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken in director Tony Scott’s “Man On Fire” (2004). He also appeared in the 1997 Paul Simon musical, “The Capeman.” He starred as the Puerto Rican salsa pioneer Hector Lavoe, with Jennifer Lopez, in the biopic, “El Cantante.” The Miami Dolphins minority owner was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington D.C. in September 2009.

NEW YORK, /PRNewswire/ — Epic Records recording artist, Sara Bareilles is pleased to announce upcoming dates for her 2010 Fall Headlining Tour in support of her highly anticipated upcoming sophomore release, Kaleidoscope Heart out September 7th. Sara will officially return to the road as the headlining act on September 25 when the tour kicks off in Portland, OR at Roseland Ballroom. The tour will cover 30 major cities across America and conclude at the Knitting Factory Concert House on November 24th in Reno, NV. Supporting acts on the bill are Greg Laswell, Javier Dunn, Cary Brothers, & Holly Conlan.

Kaleidoscope Heart – which Sara wrote and the renowned Neal Avron produced – is the follow up to her massive Grammy nominated debut, Little Voice which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide and garnered the singer/songwriter two Grammy nominations for the triple platinum hit single, “Love Song.

“”King Of Anything” the first single from the forthcoming album is currently at radio and garnering early critical acclaim from the press. Rolling Stone recently awarded the track a three star review stating “Like her 2007 hit “Love Song,” this single shows off Bareilles’ ability to tuck a heart-felt kiss off into a perky piano-pop tune.” The immensely addictive and charismatic pop driven track featuring Sara’s extraordinary vocal prowess is already Top 10 at Triple A Radio, and holding at # 11 on the Hot AC radio airplay chart. Meanwhile, VH1 who handpicked Sara as their “Posted” artist for the month of July, recently catapulted the video into large rotation where it’s currently the # 4 most played video on the channel.

Sara is currently back out on the road for a string of Lilith Fair tour dates as she gears up for the September 7th release of Kaleidoscope Heart. Come September 25th Sara will begin her 2010 Fall Headlining Tour. Dates announced are listed below. Tickets are available here

SANTA MONICA, California /PRNewswire/ — Escape The Fate is set to shock the world with an album whose unexpected music is being described as a twisted offspring, blending arena rock reminiscent of the 90s with some new flavor, creating a fresh perspective and making a stamp on what the future for rock is.

The group’s third full-length album, but first on a major label, will be released on DGC/Interscope Records in November. “This record is the cure for the modern day music epidemic,” says bassist Max Green. “We are wiping the slate clean and re-writing rock music as you know it.”

Produced by Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Bullet For My Valentine, Hollywood Undead), the album blends metal and melody, guitar solos and anthemic choruses into an epic sound only hinted at on the group’s previous album, 2008′s This War Is Ours. That album charted Top 35, as did the band’s indie debut, 2006′s Dying Is Your Latest Fashion. Infamous for its edgy stage performances and Sin City lifestyle, Escape The Fate will burn up the road prior to the album’s release. After heading to Mexico and South America in July, the band will support Bullet For My Valentine in the U.S. and Canada from September 16-October 27.

The tour — dubbed “The Shootin’ For Stars Tour” — will kick off its North American leg on August 3rd at Six Flags in St. Louis and then continue through October (see below itinerary).

B.o.B — who is currently blowing away fans on tour in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan — has also slated a few additional performances, including a free MySpace Live show slated for July 31st at Center Stage in the rapper’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, which will also be streaming live on www.myspace.com. August 1st will then see the worldwide sensation joining The Black Eyed Peas and Jason Derulo for a one-night-only triple bill at Ottawa, Ontario’s Scotiabank Place.

Furthermore, B.o.B will also be featured at a number of upcoming summer festivals, including the annual Lollapalooza extravaganza in Chicago’s Grant Park on August 6th. The multi-talented rapper will then join Erykah Badu, The Roots, Common, Janelle Monáe, and Chuck Brown for the 5th Annual Summer Spirit Festival, slated for August 7th at Columbia, Maryland’s world famous Merriweather Post Pavilion. Next, B.o.B will head north for Z103.5′s Summer Rush Toronto, slated for August 8th at Toronto’s Kingswood Music Theater.
B.o.B’s acclaimed debut album, “B.o.B PRESENTS: THE ADVENTURES OF BOBBY RAY,¿ has proven one of 2010′s most popular and significant releases. The album — which debuted atop the Billboard 200 upon its April arrival — is highlighted by a pair of platinum certified singles in the #1 sensation, “Nothin’ On You (Feat. Bruno Mars)¿ and the top 3 smash, “Airplanes (Feat. Hayley Williams of Paramore).¿ The latter track is currently #3 with-a-bullet on Billboard’s “Hot 100¿ while also coming in at #2 on both the “Pop Songs¿ and “Rap Songs¿ charts, and also holds the #1 spot in the UK. As of this writing, the combined singles sales from both tracks is currently approaching 5 million with no sign of slowing down.

What’s more, B.o.B has recently been nominated for an outstanding six Teen Choice Awards, making him one of the most-nominated artists of the night. Some of the nominations include “Choice Music: Breakout Artist Male,¿ “Choice Music: Album Rap,” “Choice Music: Single¿ for “Nothin’ On You,¿ and will be announced on August 9 on FOX (check local listings.) No stranger to accolades, B.o.B recently received three prestigious nominations at the 2010 BET Awards, including “Best Male Hip-Hop Artist¿ and “Video of the Year.¿ The night also saw B.o.B taking the stage for a show-stopping performance of “Airplanes¿ alongside rap veteran Eminem and Keyshia Cole, which many raved as the best performance of the night.

“B.o.B PRESENTS: THE ADVENTURES OF BOBBY RAY¿ sees the resourceful rapper producing the majority of the album by himself, while also playing multiple musical instruments, including piano, trumpet and French horn. In addition, B.o.B is joined by a star-studded line-up of surprising special guests, including Hayley Williams of Paramore, T.I., Eminem, Janelle Monáe, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Playboy Tre, and Lupe Fiasco. Endlessly inventive tracks such as “5th Dimension¿ and “Magic¿ offer a funky and fascinating journey into a gifted new talent’s far-reaching imagination.

“I just want to show people that there are endless possibilities of what you can do,¿ B.o.B says. “You don’t just have to be a rapper, you don’t just have to be a trapper; you can be anything you want to be and whatever you do, just love it and it will show.

NEW YORK, New York –(Marketwire – July 27, 2010) – Ryko Recording artist Mark Olson, founder of legendary Americana band The Jayhawks, is set to release today “Many Colored Kite,” his follow-up solo CD. The critically-acclaimed artist, whose influential catalogue spans 25 years, has also just announced his upcoming U.S. tour in support of the July 27th release. Olson will be accompanied on this acoustic tour by multi-instrumentalist Ingunn Ringvold, who co-wrote two songs with Olson on “Many Colored Kite.”

“Many Colored Kite” is the gifted troubadour’s long-awaited follow-up to his 2007 personal milestone, “Salvation Blues,” a soul-searching album of loss and change which further cemented Olson’s reputation as one of the true heroes of the folk/roots scene and garnered rave reviews for its autobiographical, often painful songs, as noted by The New York Times Critics pick.

It’s a hopeful Olson who greets the listener on “Many Colored Kite,” with its earthy, neo-folk feel. Paste Magazine observes “‘Many Colored Kite’ finds Olson fusing his ‘desert country’ sound with classic and ’60s British folk tropes for an album buoyed by harmonies from girlfriend Ingunn Ringvold… opening track ‘Little Bird of Freedom’ features vocals from Jolie Holland… Vashti Bunyan lends her talents to ‘No Time to Live Without Her,’ a song that celebrates love.” The Dallas Observer calls Olson, “a songwriter of unique vision…” and Popmatters considers “Many Colored Kite” “unpretentious but not un-ambitious — daring to be almost embarrassingly forthright and earnest,” adding “that’s always been Olson’s way: never trendy… so steeped in classic American song that his body of work seems to exist out of time.”

Produced and engineered by Beau Raymond (Devendra Banhart, Little Joy, Mark Olson and Gary Louris) and featuring the core group of Olson, Neal Casal and Danny Frankel, this is a wide-eyed, uplifting album with soaring, ethereal harmonies contributed by Ringvold.

The opening track, “Little Bird of Freedom” sets the tone of the album: these are songs by a man who has made it through the eye of the tempest and is looking at the world as if he’s seeing it for the first time. Elsewhere “Many Colored Kite’s” airy, uncluttered songs celebrate life and nature (“Wind and Rain,” “Morning Dove”) and love (“Bluebell Song” and “No Time to Live Without Her,” featuring renowned folk legend Vashti Bunyan).
