Operatic pop vocal group Il Divo has announced dates for their 2009 World Tour.  The group is formed by singers Carlos Marín, Urs Bühler, David Miller, and Sébastien Izambard.

Il Divo were formed in millennium edition of ‘Popstars – The Rivals’. They auditioned for the Italian version of the show the year before, after failing however the four men headed to England, where they were voted out by ‘Nasty Nick’, Cowell was disappointed having backed the group all through the show. So in December 2000, Cowell signed them to his record label.  Their first album, self titled was released in 2004 became number one in the charts in a total of 13 countries around the world, and achieved top 5 placing in 25 countries.

Their latest album, The Promise, was released globally last month.
